Namratha is a singer, vocal coach and cover artist on Youtube. Her songs are available on all the major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, iHeart Radio etc.

She is known for her participation in Indian Idol season 3. In her musical journey of over 25 years, she has  performed in over 450 live shows, 150 radio programs, 35 virtual live streams and has recorded in albums with various renowned musicians like C Ashwath and Chidambara Kalamanji. She is the recipient of Aryabhata award and was awarded the "Gana Kogile" title by Karnataka Writers Guild. She has composed music and released her songs through Swabhava Toronto platform.

She began learning music at the age of 4 in India from C.K Thara, an All India Radio artist. She is trained in Hindustani Classical vocals by Pandit. Nagalingaiah Vastradmatt and has practiced Sugama Sangeetha under the guidance of Narahari Dixith.

In 2003, she started vocal training classes and teaching Kannada Sugama Sangeetha and has continued to train more than 45 music lovers ever since. She is also adept at mixing, mastering and producing music.
